Four mobile phones and a disc drive in McGeary’s home also contained videos and images of child abuse material. The young man procured 1224 files depicting child abuse on four phones and a disc drive has been sentenced for his “utterly unacceptable” behaviour. After appearing in a Sydney court initially in 2020 and spending six days in custody before being bailed, McGeary pleaded guilty and after returning to Tasmania in June last year he was sentenced this week.
